Basically a self-portrait I made in Pixia. I like how the eyes turned out (maybe this'll be my own original style. heehee), it's like anime, but a little more realistic (I'm a sucker for realistic, it's what I always aim for, even in an unrealistic style like anime! LOL)
It took a couple days, but not because I'm lazy or a really ignorant n00b (I am a n00b) at digital art, but I was hesitant because (get this) I was afraid it wasn't realistic enough! Anyway hope you like it. Tips welcome as usual (esp. about doing lips &.. anime )
Eyes and nose are good for realistic, but the mouth is off-center. It's the right perspective, but it should be scooted up and to your right a bit. On another note, I like the pink detail for the insides of the eyes, that's something I never see because I'm always looking at anime.

Thanks, yeah I see what you mean actually, I wasn't sure how much of a tilt (that's overall what I was going for) to put into the mouth, but it came out ok, I still have the original, so maybe I'll move the mouth a little.
Yeah, I tried to make it similar to anime style, but a little realistic for some reason I don't know about you, but you don't even notice that the corner of the eye aren't there in anime, at least not me, but I saw an eye tutorial ans said "oh yeah!"
Exactly right about the eye corners. The trick to drawing anime is knowing when you can get away with omitting realistic details. At least that's how I always looked at it. . .
